From "Big Bad John" to Sausage King. He was an American original!

I used to watch his TV show a zillion years ago. And I buy his sausage (can't get no JC Potter down here). RIP Jimmy!

Hate to say it but I didn't realize that he wasn't already dead.I had the same reaction when Glenn Ford died, out of sight ,out of mind. RIP

RIP. Jimmy Dean's hot is the best sausage you can get if you can't find Owens.

(My mom refuses to buy JC Potter because her family is acquainted with Old Man Potter and "the crap he feeds his pigs".)

Newsflash: You ever seen what pigs eat on a daily basis? I mean excluding the "feed" they are fed? A pig's a filthy animal. Tasty. But filthy.

Yeah, I know - and she knows too, having been raised on a farm. Apparently Potter's pigs were on a whole separate level of disgusting to her. ;)

Swine are omnivores as you know. One of the grossest porker sights I ever saw was a boar biting the head off a newborn piglet like you'd bite the end of a hot dog. It ain't nothing like the cutesy-ness of "Charlotte's Web" in the pigyard

This is why I'll never be a vegetarian - if we don't eat the pigs, they'll eat us.

Have you ever seen a litter of newborn piglets chasing each other, slidding around in the straw like a bunch of puppies? It's pretty darn cute.
