Damn. That's a powerful conference.

LA and Dallas markets. Rose Bowl and College Station. Over a dozen Heismans and NCs between OU and SC alone.

I know we're supposed to "stay with Texas" or whatever, but I'm thinking more like a smash-mouth new "Grapes of Wrath Rivalry" between us and USC...

They're pretty close if not there. I think tOSU and Texas are bigger, but not by much.

Checked. Nope. ASU is bigger than tOSU and Texas.

For scheduling, everybody would have to play nine games- seven in your division, and two cross-divisional games. I wonder if they will break those up into eight 4-team pods to make it easier:

1. Washington schools
2. Oregon schools
3. NoCal schools
4. SoCal schools
5. AZ schools
6. Oklahoma schools
7. * and A&M (if they come with all of us)
8. CU & Tech

I think it makes sense. I think with USC getting hit hard the Pac 10 needs OU and TX. The SEC makes all of that money not just because of the TV sets in the region but because of their national brand. OU and TX give the Pac 10 that national brand when they go to the negotiating table.
