. . . does this mean the door is open for one of the others such as Mountain West, WAC or Conference USA to step up?
It seems the longterm outlook for the BCS is not good as this pushes Division 1 a step closer to a viable playoff option. The surprise is we are not hearing more from them or that they did nothing to try and maintain the status quo.
Incredible to think that the structure of Division 1 football was so fragile that a single school changing conferences could lead to a complete realignment of teams.
