Channel 5 sports just came on and Heupel was on stage for being inducted into the Independence Bowl HOF. While on stage he was asked where OU will land. Heupel said he just got a text that said OU was headed to the SEC. Wow.

plllleeeeaaaase people! Can't you just see him joking about getting a text that "now I hear we are going to the SEC West!" What next? Not going to happen and everyone needs to calm down. No way Heupel is going to announce a fact like that from a text at an Independance Bowl party. Just because the "news" repeats it doesn't make it true. They are all trying to be the "first" to report a "fact" so they're hoping to get lucky and reporting EVERYTHING they hear no matter how ridiculous. Who knows, anything can happen, but no way Heupel just broke it at the podium of the breakfast buffet room at the holiday inn in Shreveport...

If you were watching the news and they reported it in a serious way, you would post a thread about it, too. Even Phil posted about it in a different thread. Doesn't mean its a fact yet. It means thats what was reported. Like 95% of the threads in the last several days. I'm not the encyclopedia, I was just relaying possible news about the school Mr. 3 posts.

oops sorry Mr. Sensitive. I was dissing the news not you so relax. I'll try to post a lot more to obtain the kind of credibility I need to comment on bogus news broadcasts...

We are going to the west not the east. It will be much better traveling to the away games. I cannot handle all of the drunk redneck SEC schools with their fans bulldog mouths. Not to mention it will be easier to stay undefeated.
