I had a parcel to mail this morning. Normally, I use the Big Office, but I noticed that one of the stalls had the lid up and the Big Office's lid was down.
Well, I'd always thought that the uplid indicated that the cleaning crew had gone through, done their job, and that they left the lid up. Based on that thought, I took a smaller office and conducted my transaction.
Later in the day, due to circumstances well beyond my control, I had another bit of mail to move.
HORRORS! The office in which I'd mailed the last parcel now HAD THE LID UP!!!!111!!
Being a man and all, I didn't let this revelation prevent me from dropping the kids off at the pool. But my whole way of doing business now has to be re-evaluated. After all, all things being equal, I'd rather be forging fresh ground than taking a previously warmed room.
I'm kind of shaken here. Must. Find. Peace.
