...even though we're coming in 5th in the conference in APR and have a dorm named after a Klansman. Oh, and we lost the national title game last year too.

Skull, dont you know that UT is a member institution of the American Association of Universities, an elite group that only the finest and most prestigious research universities may join? I think that you will find that kind of distinction is why UT achieved an APR of 947, while other lowly non-AAU schools like Texas Tech could only achieve an APR of 945.

Tell me this skull, if UT's APR is so bad, why did they get an invite from the Big 10? Clearly, this APR number is skewed by the computer voters. Who are you going to trust, the computers, or the humans? Unless the humans helped decide this schmancy "APR" thing, in which case we'll just go with the head-to-head results of college quiz bowl. Since when should the APR decide rankings of progress *inside* the conference?

Funny to see that we are about as far below Harvard as Texas is below us.

I read the following: "Colorado does not offer a physical education major, the traditional resort for ballplayers with academic issues. Texas, by contrast, has both a health/physical fitness major and a sport/fitness administration major as part of its prestigious Parks, Recreation & Fitness academic program."
