If OU goes to one of the super conferences where they possibly double or triple their athletic income do they expand the stadium to 100,000+ so we hillbillies can terrorize the hippies when they cross the desert. That would be bad ***.

I'd love to see that.

The hippies? At 100,000, we could terrorize the Aggies...

...while they slept nestled into their troughs.
...in Stillwater, still.

We gotta spend that money somewhere--they could add to the south endzone, make it a true "bowl" stadium, and maybe even add an upper deck on that end too. Wonder how many seats that would add? Where are we now, like 82k officially? 18k extra seats shouldn't be that hard, and if we're gonna recruit against all those big stadiums, we need one too.:D

So, motion for stadium expansion is on the table, I have a second, everyone in agreement, say "aye"..."AYE", all opposed say "no"...(crickets)...They ayes have it, the ayes have it, the ayes DO have it, MOTION CARRIED by unanimous consent, fire up the front loaders, we got work to do!!!

I'm all for expanding it, but if they closed that end zone off, it would be even hotter than it already is.

agreed with pig face, i say just build up the north side of the stadium to a double decker. i like the horseshoe. but what to do about that scoreboard on the north side?

but first and foremost, lets redo the press box

85,000 people bunched together in September is pretty hot anywhere. I doubt 100,000 is that much worse.

At least we're not in Stoolwater where you deal with the heat, and the STENCH. Then again, they have a nice "open feel" to their home games. :D

It won't double or triple our entire athletic revenue, which is in the millions of dollars already. It might double or triple our television revenue when the conferences re-negotiate contracts.

BTW Sunny...bowling GFOMS/OF would be an engineering headache due to the large difference between the slopes of the S. EZ and the E & W stands. Better just to upper deck the NW/N/NE end of the stadium and leave the S. EZ alone.

Where's that photoshop of the stadium with the upper deck where it spells out OU from the aerial photo? That's what we need! :)

I vote AYE for adding on to the stadium. How about more suites to bring in more money?

How about getting a variance from the legislature to SELL BEER?
