The legal community put Oklahoma there about 100 years ago. In the most widely used case reporting system in the universe, Oklahoma cases have been published in West's "Pacific Reporter" volumes since we achieved statehood. It is part of the National Reporter System created by John B. West for West Publishing Company, which is now part of Thomson West.
The Pacific Reporter contains published appellate court case decisions for:
Alaska
Arizona
California
Colorado
Hawaii
Idaho
Kansas
Montana
Nevada
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Oregon
Utah
Washington
Wyoming
Note: Nebraska is NOT in the above list.
