For Husker fans:
With the move to the Big-10 are you conserned at all about recruiting? I was looking at one of the preseason mags and over 20 kids on your roster were Texas kids and 5 of your recruits from the last class were from Texas. Only 2 or 3 kids on the roster were from Big-10 states (not counting Nebraska). Will Nebraska have to totally reinvent their recruiting to adjust to the new reality? Will cutting ties with Texas, a state providing roughly 20% of your current roster, help Husker football? How fast can Nebraksa make inroads into new territories where your new conference mates have decades and decades of ties?
Also, Nebraska has long histories with the old Big-8 schools and more recently Texas. With the move games with historic rivals like OU, Colorado, Missouri (maybe), Kansas, and Texas will be gone. Is there alot of excitement in losing these games? Nebraksa will play some quality teams but with no history. Nebraksa versus Penn St sounds more like an 80's Orange Bowl match up than a conference game.
