Went 7 innings and struck out 14. From the highlights I saw, this guy is the real deal

to me, he looks to be fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

compared to everybodies debut, most said his was best.

did they notice he gave up 2 runs ??

He dominated aside from one shot that gave up 2 runs, this guy is a special player and has Washington all fired up to go to BB games. He was throwing 99 in the 7th inning and has sick curve ball.

very dominating performance...I'm interested to see what kind of pitcher he turns out to be..

Definitely an impressive debut for sure. He showed good power and control and the ability to strike guys out for sure. While it was against a pretty lousy Pirates club, that's still MLB talent you are pitching against.

DC definitely needs a guy like that to help resurrect baseball in that market. You can only hope they don't lose their 3rd franchise.

I thought the funny thing was he gives up the 2nd run, and it was like he got pissed and proceeded to strike out 7 straight Pirates.

a guy with 4 pitches, and command of those 4 pitches he has is just sick. Even Justin Verlander thinks that Strasburg has some sick stuff.

I guess the only thing tempering my excitement was that it was against the double A pittsburgh pirates

so what does that make the Cubs? single A? because the Pirates have pwned them pretty good.

he ever drops that curve to 86-87 he'll be ridiculous.
