Definitely one of my fav. players growing up. Definitely would have been the HR king if it weren't for injuries that plagued him. Just had that awesome upper-cutting home run swing that every kid tried to imitate.

He's definitely my favorite. I just liked to see him still in the league even if he wasn't nearly as good anymore.

He dominated N64 baseball games.

I think the Seattle GM put it best.

Without Ken Griffey JR. there is no Safeco Field...and the only team in town is the Seachickens.

Speak of retirement, I am not gonna start a new Brett Favre thread, but it sounds like he will not be retiring.

Please, just retire. Please don't become one of those players that can't walk, move your arms or be forced to use a diaper because you've taken too many hits. He's probably had at least one concussion per season he's been in the league... and it's probably getting worse as the tally goes up.

Like Junior, Favre needs to RETIRE!

He probably already uses a diaper and takes geritol.

He probably already uses a diaper and takes geritol.

Yeah, but in his case it works.

besides, shame on baj for sullying a thread about Junior with that overpaid, and overrated Mississippi born prima donna.
