i listened to the Koufax one on the radio, in 1965.

almost no dodger games were on tv back in those days.

to take pressure off his fielderd, he struck-out last 6 batters.

3rd Perfect Game in less than 12 calendar months.

130 years between there being two perfect games in the same season.

Also kind of interesting that we've had all these perfect games more recently after MLB has cracked down on Steriod use.

Halladay pitched a good game, but he definitely got some calls going for him on a lot of those 3 ball counts. Ump called them consistently though, which is what you want out of an Ump, consistency. Congrats to Halladay though.

At least one of those Ball 3 strike calls appeared to be out of the zone in the first.

But I won't besmirch the fine work of Mr. Halladay. It's generally accepted you need a bit of luck to throw a perfecto. After that first inning, Halladay was nails.
