Men's Tennis Sweet 16 Thread

Our Sooners are in the NCAA men's tennis round of 16 for the first time ever this weekend. We're taking on #3 Texas right now in Athens, GA; the Horns took the all-important doubles point and lead 1-0 right now. Our singles players have their work cut out for them if we want this Cinderella run to continue.

Costin Paval has taken the first set at #3 singles, while Ionut Belelu leads 5-4 in the first at #2 singles. #1 singles is tied right at 5 in the first set, while Texas leads in #4 singles.

Paval cruises to a straight-set win at #3 (6-4, 6-1) to tie the match up at 1. Texas took the first set at #1 while OU won the first sets at #2 and #4. If we can pull this thing off, it'll be a huge win for this program.

David Pultr just gave us a huge win at #4 singles to put us ahead in the match 3-2. We just need to win one of the two remaining matches to pull off the upset and advance to the round of 8.

F*CK YES Sooners beat Texas 4-2 to advance to the Elite 8. Lawrence Formentera came back from one set down to clinch the win for us at #6 singles. OU moves on to face #11 and host school Georgia for a spot in the Final Four on Sunday.
