We are projected as only one of three schools to have a 1000 yd rusher, 1000 yd receiver, and a 3000 yd passer. If that is the case, with this D, this could be a REAL good season.

I had not even thought of that before. That is a very real possibility but it all starts with the O-Line...

color me unimpressed, we nearly had it last year, but had 2 700-yard backs instead of one 1000.

2008 we damn near had...
4000 yard passer
2 1000 yard rushers
2 1000 yard receivers
lol

Here's another story along these lines. This guy seems to think the same as the previous article and supports my point as to why * will struggle. Again, throw this in with OUr D, and I think we could be real happy this season. Even though there are questions on the OL, I think the question will be with place kicker. Even though we should do well on both sides of the ball, there will be a game where we will need a kicker to come through in the clutch. Who that will be is a mystery to me, but I think Paddy will eventually come through.

Tejas doesn't seem to struggle very often unless there's a coaching shakeup... and even when that's happened they've managed 10 wins per season pretty much every year under :mack:. The wheels would pretty much have to come off the bus for Tejas to be as bad as some OU fans want them to be this season. They've got their next ace QB, they're better at WR than people are giving them credit for and Muschamp isn't the laughing stock OU fans wanted to believe he was, either.

2008 was so fun.

The thing about * is that even when they struggle, no one would ever know because they play a craptastic schedule. In this case, I believe that teams, to include us, will expose them. They have NO significant running game, and they lost 3 linemen. They won't fall off they face of the Earth, but they aren't near as good as they were last year.

That last article reaffirms my excitement. We're gonna be a real force this year.

Yet we're "#12" preseason. Once again, logic is in short supply before the season even starts.

I'm glad we're not higher. Makes for fine motivation.

^once again... agreed. We have damn too much in common CA. I like the idea of being # 12. Gives us something to shoot for. Hell, after last season we kinda deserve that spot. I'm not worried. I'm also looking forward to seeing * drop several spots.

Bingo. I wonder how they would do this year against the ooc teams we've played recently.

Tequila, a ton of cheese dip, and a bunch of candy aren't good either.

Or this might end up being called the "Tebow Effect." That is where you put someone up on an unattainable perch only to watch them fall like a rock!:D

starting off outside the top ten makes it all the more sweet when we run the table.

Is it the Tebow Effect or the Gator Effect? Because the Gators may have lost but Tebow 'fell' into the first round of the draft on fourth round skillz.
