Cause the board is so damn slow, here's a little news:

• Beal and T. Lewis were named to the 2010 Lombardi Award Watch list.

Here's who made the list from the Big 12 this season:

* Sam Acho, DE, Texas
* Pierre Allen, DE, Nebraska
* Jeremy Beal, DE, Oklahoma
* Ugo Chinasa, DE, Oklahoma State
* Travis Lewis, LB, Oklahoma
* Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M
* Nate Solder, OT, Colorado

There's about 300 other players on the list, which can be viewed (pdf) here:

I'll make an early predicition and say Robert Quinn from UNC takes it...

I'll make an early prediction that Ugo Chinasa ends the season with 4-1/2 sacks and comes nowhere near the semi-finals for this award.

I'll be my usual homer self and say Beal and Lewis will be the top 2.

Dang I'm excited for the season to get here. Landry's well-seasoned and the defense should keep games competitive.

Our D should keep the games shutouts IMO.

I can't wait for Von Miller and his teammates to do a massive face plant this year.

texas a&m of 2010 = okie lite of 2009

supposedly awesome offense, supposedly much improved defense, and lots of failed hype.

We did finish 2nd in the division. A&M won't sniff that.
