So when I saw a poster for The Sorcerer's Apprentice at the theater a few days ago, I giggled to NP that Disney would probably have Nicolas Cage as the sorcerer, because it seems that guy will do absolutely any role thrown at him, whether it be a weather guy with a crossbow, a treasure seeking history buff, or a bearded big dude with a phony southern accent.

It turns out that Nicolas Cage actually is the sorcerer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sorcerer%27s_Apprentice_(2010_film)).

You mean having Nick Cage's picture on the poster didn't give it away?

Hell, I couldn't tell it was him.I only took a quick glance at it - I was too surprised that they were actually remaking this as a film and not just a Fantasia thingie.

It's called subliminal messaging I think....they can even do it on a poster now....lol

Yeah, Nick Cage does seem to be taking a lot of roles lately, but given his documented money problems I'm not surprised. I'd expect this film to be pretty big at the box office as it is a Disney Production and looks to be very family friendly. It will probably be his best box office numbers since the National Treasure sequel.
