Mack Brown was at the draft because the NFL has pulled out all the stops this year to make it a spectacle (and, hopefully, pull in viewers & dollars). As part of that push, Brown was hired for his "Exceptional clapping ability." While terms of his contract were not disclosed publicly, it's believed that he may earn as much as $50 for each clap -- a substantial sum given his proven ability to continue clapping well past the point when any "normal" person would've stopped.
