I'm gonna be in the shatty bar across the street with a gang of people celebrating the wife's birthday with about 80 pitchers. Yeah...Might be a good idea to block me from posting until Sunday.

The Non. 7 tomorrow, Sooner Theater. They were easily the best act I saw there last year.

The Non + Dirty Projectors = perfect Sunday for me.

Day 1 was a good time, not near as fun with the majority of music inside but I heard some good stuff at Sooner Theatre where I was helping out. Good to see Rhino out, today promises to be a blast

BTW, a memo to the jackazz hippies and dumbazzes that cant follow one simple rule, if you are watching music at a small inside venue like Sooner Theatre there are going to be 'over capacity' issues. If the one thing that is asked of you at a FREE music festival is to clear walk ways and be in a seat, dont throw a hissy fit about it. The Fire Marshall doesnt mess around and he has no issues in shutting down the entire venue

The Non was great, Wayne and Mrs. Coyne were sitting behind us. Filled to capacity with a stellar show.

Dirty Projectors also kicked some major butt. Really fun band with a great show.

Def need a better headliner and The Non needs to be on the main stage

PhilTLL

(1) The Non absolutely needed to be on something bigger. Don't know about the logistics of that, given their unique setup, but that mass of people trying to get in the Sooner was madness.

(2) You could have gotten about as much Dirty Projectors as you needed after going to all of Leon Russell's set. (I'm a card-carrying young hipster with an old soul, sorry.) Leon should have been headlining, on the big stage--but I get it, some sort of quirky-rock has headlined every year and this is not just a "best of Oklahoma" theme fest. What it is, no matter how much I may or may not like any one act, is awesome, and it'd better continue.

This statement brings up all kinds of gooey nasty thoughts.

They have an odd and possibly abrasive style. I like them in small doses. I know of no one with that style off the top of my head.

That's true. I learned that from the documentary "It Might Load", which I recently watched. White shined bright in that flick. Quite an accomplishment when you are sitting next to Jimmy Page...ok and "the edge", who I like to call Bob.

i have to see Jimmy Page play live someday

i've seen Jack White twice now, and The Edge at Owen Field
