I test drove one today and I must say it was pretty sweet.

...but $35,000 for a Camaro, really?

It's more than I'd pay... but it's about the same price as a Mustang GT (that has 100 fewer hp) and less than a Challenger SRT8.

The new GT with the 5.0 will match the SS in the horsepower department.

WRONG! 5.0 liter cranks out 412 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_1003_2011_ford_mustang_gt_premium_test/index.html)

Are the 2011s on lots yet? I only found 2010s (the ones with 325 hp) in a quick search.

They started building them March 15th so they should be around but I'm sure most of the first ones were pre-orders.

My problem with the new Camaro is that it doesn't so much have blind spots as visible spots.

And I haven't heard how it handles.

i keep seeing them around and i actually like them less and less

seems they handled better than the Challenger, not as well as the Mustang if i remember right

They're just so freakin' big and heavy... not my cup of tea.

They're great if you want to parade a mid-life crisis around in public.

If I was tossing around that kind of money I'd go for the Nissan 370z anyway.

Or a Z4.

i've never liked the Z4s either

i'm thinking more like a G37

The Challenger looks cooler IMO, but the Camaro is better than the Mustang. Mustangs have been girl cars for at least 10 years now regardless of HP. Just think for a minute how many high school cheerleaders drive them lately. When I lived in texass I worked with 3 afterschool job girls who were all cheerleaders. All 3 had daddy-bought Mustangs.

I'm strongly considering a g37s

just don't think I can get enough from my other car for it right now.

I looked at both (used Z4, 350z and G35 among many others) and ended up with the Z4, it was cheaper and topless. There was no way I would pay what they want for them new. After everything I looked at (and I do mean a bit of everything) I figured out that I really wanted a convertible. For me it really came down between a C5 Corvette Convertible and the Z4, again the Z4 was cheaper.

I prefer the looks of the Challenger...the Camaro, I like most of it but the rear end just doesn't look right on it, I also looked at Mustang GT's before I bought the Z4.

Yeah, but when you look out your side mirror that big rear fender sure does make the car look muscular. :D

See, that's me with the Challenger. When I first saw one I thought it was the bomb, but with each time I see one I like them less. The Mustang GT and the Camaro I continue to like, and damn it: I want a new toy! :D

I prefer the way the Challenger has no modern elements. It's ALL old school...on the outside anyway.
That said...Chrysler is now Italian owned and GM stands for gub'ment Motors.
So I guess I better learn to like Ford, which will be difficult since I'm a lifelong Chevy guy. I might say **** all of them and buy a Hyundai. At least they're made in Alabama, as opposed to my Mexican Chevy truck.

This ain't no girl car... and daddy didn't buy it for me. Heck, I wasn't even a cheerleader. Those new FauxPar and Gubmint Motors cars don't scare me a lick. :)

Neither is this car, although it is owned/driven by a girl that I used to work with.

That new Genesis is kinda interesting

I'm not a snob, and Hyundai has been making quality vehicles for a decade.
That Genesis is RWD, decent HP, and a ridiculous list of standard amenities.

I'm mildly exited about the potential revival of fast Buick's with the pending Regal GS, especially if they stuff the turbo six the Europeans get in it. But the high output turbo 4 would be workable.

yermom

I haven't seem anything about that, but if it's RWD and not stupid heavy it would be cool

Lexus. (But it's four years old.)

That's OK then.

I feel bad for those guys I see in the mini-van that always seem to be driving 5-10 miles under the speed limit. They just seem so...unmanly. :D
