Norwood and Muckelroy great 4th round picks.

Is it just me or is somebody besides Al Davis picking for the Raiders?

They are making some good picks.

That just made me go back to ESPN. They just had on the Tampa Bay coach and everyone cannot say enough good things about Gerald McCoy. Tampa Bay coach is so happy to have McCoy. He going to represent OU well in the coming years.

2008- 13.5 TFL's & 5.5 sacks
2009- 9.5 TFL's & 3.5 sacks

offenses schemed for Selvie after 07. I believe he missed time this past season due to injury or played with injuries hampering his effectiveness. That's part of the reason JPP's stock rose so quickly.

Since he lost his voice, Mayock's blogging instead:

Mike Mayock, NFL Network
121 -- Eagles -- LB Keenan Clayton

The Eagles just picked a LB from Oklahoma that I had as a late-round, draftable player, because he's a tweener between LB and strong safety. I think it's a little early for him to come off the board. They could have gotten him later. But he brings athleticism and a special teams mentality that will help the Eagles.

Mike Mayock, NFL Network
135 -- Falcons -- CB Dominique Franks

The Falcons finally get a corner. I really like this kid out of Oklahoma. He's a smooth athlete with natural change-of-direction skills, but only has average speed for a corner. My biggest concern is that he's a defensive back who doesn't trust his eyes, and because of that doesn't make as many plays as he should. But he does have all the tools to be a corner in the NFL.

Mike Mayock, NFL Network
162 -- Colts -- TE Brody Eldridge

The Colts just picked the best blocking TE in the entire draft. Eldridge started games at center, guard, tight end this season for the Sooners. In fact, he was an all-conference FB as well. He's nasty, he's tough and he will upgrade the Colts' run game and be a tremendous compliment to Dallas Clark.

since stoops the eternal pimp seems to be the board's draft expert so...what do you make of cincy qb tony pike? carolina drafted him along with clausen, so i gotta think that they think he can compete for the starting job. he was getting heisman love until his injury, but he came back strong after that and really put together a very impressive season. tall guy (6'6) with a strong arm, but he'll have to shake the spread offense habits.

Pike is tall but his frame is a little thin..pike IMO is a project.. Surprising arm but is awkward looking at times ala dan lefevour...needs to get motion zipped up and pocket presence isn't up to par with the other qbs..

In this draft that was full of 2s, I think he can be career backup..

Speaking of clausen, if Matt leinart hadn't been the way he was when he was drafted(didn't work hard, cocky), clausen would have been picked earlier.. And that's what 4 team scouts said to me.. Matt leinart, except not quite as good

STEP, what do you think of Gilyard and the Saffold for the Rams?

I like gilyard as a college player.. Not so much as an NFL player.. He struggled a lot in the post season stuff working against solid corners.. Wasn't as fast as I thought....I just don't know how he is gonna create separation.. Hope I'm wrong..

I love the saffold pick.. Love it.. 1st round talent for sure.. He is tall, has good bulk, but has good enough feet to keep up with even the smaller fast de s...one of the best 1st steps of all the ot s

Pretty much what the other guys said..the giants didn't take him at 15 so he could be on the bench.. In 2 years he'll be better than either one and that's a big statement

Both can play either so they'll see what's the best.. Saffold can play right so that's not a problem

Riskiest move

You'll think I'm crazy (as usual), but the Redskins choosing Oklahoma left tackle Trent Williams No. 4 overall is one of the riskiest moves of the draft. I agree that he has tremendous potential, but he's not a finished product at left tackle. Oklahoma State's Russell Okung would have been a no-brainer starter at left tackle from Day 1. Williams has more versatility and he's a better fit in the Redskins' zone-blocking scheme, but it's wrong to suggest that he's anywhere close to the "safest" pick in the top-10. If you want to know why I'm a little skeptical, go back and watch the OU-BYU game on tape. Sam Bradford remembers what I'm talking about.

A lot of guys really soured on Okung when they started really watching the tape. Said he had way too many misses. I didn't watch enough to now.

Broncos said today that Tebow was drafted to be a QB ONLY, we will see if that lasts

Holmgren said that Colt Mccoy will not play this year at all, still a good situation for him to be in

http://juicedsportsblog.com/2010/04/welcome-to-the-nfl-tim-tebow-now-get-off-my-tv.html

I know we all have a bit of a media-based inferiority complex about our Sooners, and I try to avoid it as much as I can...but it just seems insane that all the coverage about this year's QBs are - Jimmy Clausen's and Colt McCoy's inexplicable and "criminal" free fall, and The Savior's drafting by the Donkeys. Nothing about Sam Bradford taken first overall, or 3 of 4 top picks by Sooners.

Just saying it seems odd is all.

I know he was cleared to play for the final game, and I've heard the concussion shouldn't be an issue, but I'm pretty sure your source is closer to the organization than mine. I've heard that when you get a concussion it's easier to get the next one, so I guess that would be a concern.
