A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week. A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.

RevolutionMuslim.com posted the warning following the 200th episode of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's "South Park," which included a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad disguised in a bear suit. The Web posting also included a graphic photo of Theo van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 after making a documentary on violence against Muslim women.

"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," the posting reads. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Reaching by phone early Tuesday, Abu Talhah al Amrikee, the author of the post, said he wrote the entry to "raise awareness." He said the grisly photograph of van Gogh was meant to "explain the severity" of what Parker and Stone did by mocking Muhammad.

"It's not a threat, but it really is a likely outcome," al Amrikee said, referring to the possibility that Parker and Stone could be murdered for mocking Muhammad. "They're going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims. It's just the reality."

Al Amrikee said the website is considering a protest against the "disgusting" show, which also depicted the Prophet Muhammad in an episode on July 4, 2001.

"This is not a small thing," he said. "We should do whatever we can to make sure it does not happen again."

The posting on RevolutionMuslim.com also includes audio of a sermon by Anwar al-Awlaki -- a radical U.S.-born preacher now believed to be hiding in Yemen -- who discusses assassinating individuals who defame the Prophet Muhammad. It also included a link to a 2009 story in the Huffington Post that gave details of Stone and Parker's mansion in Colorado.

A Comedy Central spokesman told FoxNews.com that the network has no comment on the posting.

My guess is that South Park will some how incorporate this into the show, much like the legal threats of making fun of Scientology was incorporated into their show credits (everyone was listed as John or Jane Doe if I remember correctly).

If I had to take a stab here, I'd say they never actually show the Prophet Mohammad, but rather, call a man in a bear costume "Mohammad" repeatedly without ever showing anything except the bear running around everywhere, possibly saying random things that Dave Letterman depicts Osama bin Laden saying ("Oh, and by the way, Death to America.")

btw, if you have to shorten your thread title, then SHORTEN IT A LOT. Don't just get a few characters out to make it to be the max, because that makes quick replies a big hassle, cuz it adds in "Re" automatically. NO MORE LONG THREAD TITLES, or you'll end up like the South Park creators! ;)

Well I just watched the 201 episode. Did Comedy Central bleep out Muhammad's name or was that Parker and Stone?

I don't know, but it kind of added to the comedy. I liked the ending where they have the typical "You know what? I learned something today." bit and they just bleeped out the entire thing. It shows how ridiculous Muslim extremists are.

These Muslim peeps are pretty insanely dumb.

That being said I have no love for the South Park guys, so whatever. :P

Curly Bill is still upset with Matt and Trey for making fun of his hero and role model Al Gore.

I wouldn't care if they ran over Al Gore multiple times with an M-1 Abrams.

Well CNN interviewed the guy who runs the site. I guess he supports the attacks 9/11, praised the Ft. Hood shooter, and is all for terrorism.

All the more reason for South Park to keep pushing it.

I'm all for South Park, and BASEketball was underrated, but Orgazmo was a masterpiece.

Orgazmo is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

And you notice the Mormons, crazy as they may or may not be, didn't start flinging death threats like these oversensitive Muslims.

Matt and Trey are comic geniuses who aren't afraid of anyone or anything. It's comedy central that always censors their work or cowers down to these things. And CC pays the bill to put South Park and everything else they do on the air, so I'd imagine they'll bite their tounge and find another way to rip Muslims to shreds "by the books."
