It makes me proud to see, but at the same time, a lot of those original rankings show why I always take recruiting talk with a grain of salt.

Thanks for posting that. Interesting to see the recruiting rankings coming out of HS.

I never knew that Leach offered Sammy. Leach sure can spot quality QB's. He got us some good ones in the one year he was in Norman.

Didn't Chuck "3rd and" Long work pretty hard to sell Sam as well? I remember a story from him saying that Sam reminded him of himself, and when he learned Sam was a scratch golfer, he really thought Sam had the chance to be great, because the golfing skill indicated a pretty big brain in the head atop those lanky shoulders, as well as focus, discipline, and patience, all good things to have in a QB. Guess he was right.;)
