Top running back Brandon Williams drops Baylor in favor of Oklahoma

Brandon Williams (Brookshire, Texas) decommitted from the in-state Bears Monday morning and is now set to play for the Sooners, ESPN's Gerry Hamilton reports.

Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Kentucky, TCU and Tulsa have also offered the 6-foot, 190-pound ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect.

Williams rushed for 1,815 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 38 passes for 512 yards and four more scores last fall.

Additionally, the speedster has run a 10.6 100-meter dash.

10.6 100 meter? umm as a fat boy, im not up on the sprinter type stuff but i do know THAT is fuggin fast lol

Well, now the chances of you guys landing Brown/Green/Sims is even bigger now, because I imagine that we're done recruiting running backs. (We'll still go after Brown, because he's that good - but he'll see that we brought in Williams and not consider)

There was a lot of talk about Sims coming to OU, but you would have figured that he would have committed earlier. The only running back we're after is Bradley Marquez, but that's to be a slot receiver.

I'd rather have Brown over Sims. But dammit I so did not want to see Brown go to *, and it looks almost a done deal after this! This is a happy/sad day for us I think! LOL.

Kind of feel sorry for Baylor though. Kind of hard to hate them, and well, this is just a smack in the gut and the face for them! Oh well, it is what it is... their misfortune is our tremendous treasure!
