I gots an Arthuritis Question ?
Ive got all kinds of Knots and stuff on My left hand and some times I lose my grip in that hand
That Main Pain and culprit seem to be the 3rd joint back from the thumb That somebits has a knot on it bigger than a dog knot.
I take my inflammatory Meds Like I posed to. But that one aint quit hurtin. My shoulder aint so bad now . But the Hand seems to be gettin worse
Any advice ?
And fore Yall perves go to Mouthin I use My RIGHT hand fer THAT and its Just Fine :D

Do you have night pains or excriciating pain in the particular hand? Any tingling or numb sensation?
I am not a MD, but work as an Ergonomist, the loss of strength would lead me to question you further in regards to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Naw other than the sharp assed pains at times Its pretty normal .
When I say I lose my grip, Im meaning that i move that thumb in a certain way and the pain shoots and I almost release what ever im holding on to .
Which is bad when Im drankin Coffee.

Vet, I think they can do surgery and remove the knot--they're like calcium build-up thingies, aren't they? It might give you better motion and more pain relief. Go back to your doc and tell him it's still giving you a lot of probs, mebbe he can do something different to fix it.

So this is like a muscle knot, or is it swelling in the joint itself? I've heard getting capsaicin rubs help joint pain, and you might look into glucosamine. If it's a muscle thing, check your forearm to see if there's any knotted up muscles. The cause of muscle pain is rarely where the pain itself is...

Its a knot in the 3rd joint back at the base of the thumb.
Im sure its arthur, Just wondering why the Anti-inflammatory meds haven't worked on this like they have for my shoulders.

Hands have worse circulation, so the meds may not make it there enough. My grandma used to go to the doc to get a shot of cortizone. Is that an option?

Good luck with it. I know pain in the hands is tough to get rid of. I just know that in the future mine are going to be a wreck because of all the typing I do...

See if they'll refer you to a hand surgeon, Vet, such things do exist. Hands are tricky, you don't want it screwed up worse than it is.
