This represents all that is both great and bad about America. It sort of brings a tear to my eye.

I crave KFC about once a year, then I go get it and curse them for the next month.

That sandwich looks awful!!!! That's not even tempting. Blech, I can't imagine anyone eating that by choice. Must be a guy thing, yuck.

Chicken, bacon and cheese. Some of the worlds best foods all in one!

If I was gonna blow that many calories, I'd have something REALLY good, mixed seafood drenched in butter or prime rib or something, not nasty ole KFC. What's the yellow goo, mustard? Or "special sauce" ??? Nevermind, I don't think I want to know.

"In KFC's defense, they never claimed that the sandwich was a healthy meal option. In fact, they are quite open with its nutrition information. A Double Down made with Original Recipe weighs in at 540 calories, 32 grams of fat and 1380 mg sodium. The Grilled version contains 460 calories, 23 grams of fat and 1430 mg sodium. Compared to some sandwiches on the market, the Double Down is a dieter's dream."

In comparison:

Angus Bacon and Cheese from McDonalds: 790 calories, 39g of fat

Big Mac from McDonalds: 540 calories, 29g of fat

Premium Crispy Chicken Club Sandwich from McDonalds: 630 calories, 28g of fat

Large French Fries from McDonalds: 500 calories, 25f of fat

Whopper from BK (no cheese): 640 calories, 40g of fat

Original Chicken Sandwich from BK (no cheese): 630 calories, 39g of fat

Regular Italian Sub from Jersey Mike's: 660 calories, 26g of fat

6" Chicken & Bacon Ranch from Subway: 570 calories, 28g of fat

In comparison, the KFC Double Down is bad for you....however, so is every other fast food item you probably thought was better for you than than a bacon cheese sandwich with fried chicken instead of bread, lol.

Fast food is bad regardless, so if you want to try this "sandwich", its still better for you than a Whopper from BK and barely worse than a large french fries from McDonalds. Makes you a little depressed about what we eat all the time, huh?

It's calories are actually not bad at all. The sodium is very high though.

with in-n-out, they use lettuce leaves for the "buns" instead of deep-fried breaded chicken.

Great for all you type 2 diabetics.
