Has anyone ever tried the Belgian beer called Palm Beer? I had it when I went to Amsterdam and I think its one of the best beers Ive ever had. I tried to locate some in the states, but they dont export.

Does anyone know if/how one gets beer from Europe to the US? Is it legal to just order it from a grocery chain? Customs? etc....

Must....have....beer!

I drank it in Bruge, good stuff. Belgian beers are notoriously underappreciated.

I have ordered some Jupiler a couple of times, but the shipping is very expensive!

GDC, I agree with your thoughts on Belgian beer. I don't remember drinking one and thinking it was a bad.

Check with your liquor store and find out. They are the ones that can tell you for sure.

Go here: http://ratebeer.com/

In the upper right, type "Palm Speciale" in the search box. It will list 10 or so places in the states that sell it along with their phone numbers. Heck, one of the places might be near you.

Just found this link too:
http://ratebeer.com/Ratings/beer/beer-Distribution.asp?BeerID=9476

It's got phone numbers on the right side of a few stores in the states. I know you can ship it, because there are wine of the month club things that ship, but it could get kind of pricey.
