Any of you know what that is? It can't be as painful as this tooth I am about ready to pull with a pair of 90 degree angled needle nose pliers can it?

It ain't too bad, and your toof won't hurt anymore from the moment they numb you up to begin the process of drilling into its center to rip out its pulp and nerve.

he doesnt' use the normal route of getting to your tooth...hence the "endo"

Floss your galdamned teef and you wouldn't have this problem.

Endodontists do more than just root canals. They'll cut your gums and scrape the pus out of your gingivitis-infested pie hole, knock out your wisdom teeth with a chisel and a hammer, etc. They do all the **** your dentist won't do. And be prepared, cause those sonsabitches charge a buttload for their services.

I've already had a root canal and it still hurts. Been on one cycle of antibiotics and now I'm on the 2nd one.

Flossing isn't going to help Dean. I broke my jaw in HS and when I did I cracked that tooth. She had tried to grind out all of the crack and did the root canal to make the pain go away. The pain is back and this time...it's not just pain....it's OMG!

Oh yeah...these antibiotics make my stomach hurt even if I take them with food. I bet I don't get an infection though.

They obviously missed some of the nerve when they did the RC. You'll probably need an extraction.

That is what she was going to do but she knows I don't want to lose the tooth so we're going to throw Obama Bucks at it and see if we can right the economy and save the tooth. :D

ST....have the same prob.....root canal two weeks ago....the first week it hurt like a mother.....next week not so bad, a little tender.....today.....dull pain when I bite down (don't say it, Dean).

Going back Thursday.....

Its just a specialist when the process is going to be tough, normal dentists do root canals. I need to get an old root canal retreated and they recommended I go to an endodonist because of the level of difficulty

Don't believe him when he tells you the surgery is only going to be successful if you roll over and keep your mouth shut.

Physically AND financially.

But seriously, good luck with it. Dental work sucks.

What would any of you do if the Endodontist broke his tiny , supposedly titanium drill bit off in the farthest end of the root of your tooth and told you he was done for the day and wanted to see you again on the 28th capped the tooth off and gave you a prescription for pain?

Yep. That's what happened. I had to take two pain pills and something to sleep to get through the night. :(
