Yeah, I was about to post that same thing. I've been getting tidbits of info from friends, and it sounds like it was a gang shoot out at the mall.

Supposedly they completely shut down Muskogee Regional to protect one of the "victims" which definitely sounds gang related.

Also, about 5 minutes ago another friend said there were other shootings around town including one at Wal-Mart. I don't know how much of that is true, but it sounds like there may have been a gang war erupt today in Muskogee.

Muskogee used to be a pretty nice town, but it's gone way downhill since i've been there.

It must have been a long long time since you've been there because its been bad as long as I can remember.

Having said that, Muskogee has NOTHING on Waco. Muskogee is like peace and love utopia compared to Waco.

It's because of all those mulletted a$$holes over at TSTI.

You mean TSTC? You aren't kidding. They and the MCC mouth-breathers.

Actually, all kidding aside, what you get from MCC and TSTC is a lot of low level drug use and DWI's. The real scary **** comes from the locals.

heh...I didn't realize the name had changed...probably 20 years ago...I guess "college" sounds smarter than "institute".

And who woulda thought there were scary locals in Wacko????? lol

Either that or "institute" sounds like a medium security facility.

Sounds to me like they need a few of those there.

As long as the "institute" these gang banging punks land in involves lots of buttsex with large cellmates, I'm good.

Oh, and the burning in hell thing, but that's not my call.

Muskogee had bad gang problems when I was a PO there 16 years ago. I can't imagine it's any better now. The year before I was hired Muskogee supposedly had the highest per capita murder rate in the country. The thing is that most of the bad stuff stayed in the bad neighborhoods and people just didn't go there, especially at night. The mall happens to be right next to one of those areas. There were some projects that we just didn't go into without at least 3 other squad cars.
BUT, I really liked living in Muskogee and like I said, in general it is a pretty safe town as long as you stay out of certain areas.

Indeed it was young grass hoppa, back in the 70's as I recall.

Love utopia? BUWAAAHAAHAAAA, your kidding right? Waco? I thought that was like the garden of eden what with the bible thumping Baptists around there?

Or do I sense sarcasm?
