Hopefully the weather will be nicer than it has been recently when rain has kept the attendance low.

Stoops should challenge the fans to come out in full force and be loud — use some of that reverse psychology that worked so well before Tech game in '08.

I don't anticipate getting a full house like 'Bama or some other schools have recently, but the last few Spring games have been disappointing attendance-wise, at least that's how it looked in all the photos I'd seen.

Any TV coverage? I haven't seen anything about it, then again, haven't looked all that hard. Maybe they'll webcast it if not, that's better than nothing. Everyone that goes better bring back detailed scouting reports and let us know how it's all shaping up, especially the Oline. So don't get so plastered you can't remember. Or if you do, take notes or something. This is important **** here, people, all of us in exile are depending on you!!!

Thanks gawd another football fanatic friend isn't getting married this year. Stood for several hours with kids half my age (and yes, a few adults twice my age too) begging people to sign a ball for a bachelor party I wasn't even invited to (not that I'd want to spend a few days in Dallas with drunk guys bar hopping between rounds of Halo)

For those of you who will be joining the kiddos in pursuing autographs yourself, a few tips from a seasoned semi-pro:

1- Don't bother Boz. He ignored 5-year-old saying his name for several hours. Didn't turn and wave, nothing.

2- If a player has his signing arm in a cast, please ask how his arm is doing instead of an autograph.

3- For the love of gawd, say "thank you" after they sign. Yes, they're used to being asked, yes, they for the most part take it in stride, but back home at their alma maters they deserve a little thanking for their contributions to OU athletics, not to mention their autograph.

so not to waste anyones time, they ought to bring out some jr college and just see if they can run the ball down the middle. that will be the first thing i look at. Can the middle open up and can the OL create holes, gaps, and snags.

I have heard a lot of great things about Stills coming out of camp. Carey Murdock was on the animal and he said that stills was really pushing for playing time and was impressing a lot of people. I am going to the spring game and i will give a report on here that weekend. I think the guy that will have a ton of buzz around him coming out of the game will be jermie calhoun. Heard he is having a great spring and we need a strong running game this year to help keep the pressure off landry. Heck stoops went to alabama this off season so dont be surprised if we try to win some games running the ball down peoples throats and playing really tough defense.

Some interesting tidbits:
"Stills, who transferred to OU in January after completing his fall semester of high school, led all receivers with six grabs for 84 yards and was impressive in his Sooner debut."
•Jones: 17-34/211 yards, 2 TD (5 yards to Ratterree, 31 yards to Stills)
• Musil 92 yds on 29 carries--got a lot of carries, Calhoun must be dinged up, while Madu only got 3 carries.

So that's why they gave Patches another try... alas, not there. Patty was 0-2 yesterday, while I think Jimmy made three. Doesn't mean that Jimmy will be the kicker again, but if Stevens wants to ever see the field again, he needs to continue doing this.

I just hope the Oline can at least pass block well. With Broyles, Miller and now Stills, we would have a prayer of the balls being caught most the time. Throw in DM out of the backfield and a little more production from the TE position and we could fill the sky with footballs if we had too. Nothing against a good run game, but we need to have something to hang our helmets on.

Apparently our rain game made an impression on a recruit, since he de-committed from... Baylor.

Poor Bay-larz. We got more people to show up for a rain game scrimmage than their stadium comfortably holds (gotta figure in the necessary leg and popcorn room - no other reason to want to go to a game there)

I feel better about the Oline, just cause I think our D is gonna make a whole lot of Olines look swiss-cheesy. I could be wrong, but I really don't think that the Oline will continue last year's awfulness, yet I am very afraid our D is going to maim someone. Fer reelz.

Crowded backfield this year.

That Meta-Musil looked great on the field (MacFarland's nickname for him, not mine). Redshirt freshman halfback who looked like Toby Gerhart (before we stuffed him in the Sun Bowl).

Kenny Stills looks like a starter. Damn near caught everything in the rain (and it rained non-stop). Great hands and even shoved off of Lamar Harris to get that 31-yard TD. Need to YouTube that... make you feel good for the upcoming season.

Whaley came out of nowhere. Walk-on who looked great.

Stevens made his from 42 and under, missed the 43 yarder but was his first kick of the game. O'Hara looked awful... needs more practice. I think Stevens gets his job back. Looks like it's time to look for another just in case.

Linebackers look good, safeties and corners good, defensive ends great.

Landry looked like he was at the end of last season which is good.

Drew Allen needs more playing time but not bad for #2 QB. We'll see what Blake Bell does in the fall. Nimmo played one series so I wondered if they were giving him backup time as a senior or if it was more of giving Allen some pointers on the sidelines before putting him back in.

Couldn't tell about the o-line... difficult with this type of scrimmage since the defense is familiar with the o-line playbook.

Overall, not a bad spring game. Really came away impressed with Stills and Musil... we're good at RB and WR now.

The corners did not play the deep ball well, but everything else was lock-down. We had to use a rub or a quick hook route to get any separation. I'm not too worried about the deep ball with the safeties that we have, but it's weird to think that Nelson is both our best safety AND corner...

First of all...what was the deal with the damn weather!?!?!?!?!

Like everyone else, Stills looked impressive for his first outing. I wish he would not have lost his footing on the screen so we could see him in traffic.

Miller looked like he added some upper body weight and played physical.

Jefferson played physical on run support but seemed a little lost on a few pass plays. Other DB's looked confused at times but at least I saw them communicating and learning after the plays.

Linebackers could be the best in the country next year.

Did not get to see the much of a running game other than Musil and Whaley? Madu did not do much and had a fumble on the kick off.

Beal is a beast and will be an All American.

Enjoyed the Riverwind Casino....some hot chicks and some oxygen tanks...

Love the comfortable ride in the Lincoln Navigator they drove me around in. First time I have ridden in one of those and I was impressed with the comfort,

I'd imagine Carter is considered the best safety

What's Al Gore doing riding around in a Lincoln Navigator?

Oh, it's OK for him to do it, you're just now allowed to. ;)

Maybe because of experience, but Nelson has made more plays in less time as a starter. He had 3 picks in 4 games last year!

FS and SS are two different positions, however.
You can't say one player is better because he had more picks if they play different positions.

He about had his fourth in the the Sun Bowl... He deflected it and almost had it before T. Lewis took it from him. I didn't complain though.
