Good to see he has other plans in mind if the NFL doesn't work out. I'm sure he'll get invited to a camp but unfortunately I'm not terribly optimistic about his chances at the next level. If he can catch on as a practice squad back up DE/Special Teamers guy it would be great for him.

He sounds like a sharp young man, and it's nice to see that he made full use of his scholarship!
Hope that he can make a living in the NFL, but if not, I'm sure he's glad that he applied himself in school.

“I want to be in the counseling or mentoring fields, whether as a high school counselor or a coach,” English said. “I’ve always been around a lot of great coaches, just good men. I realize the source of influence that coaches really have. They spend more time around players than their parents do nowadays, so I think it’s really valuable to have good leadership and good role models in those coaching positions.”

I know we have our share of knuckleheads, but the difference in Auston's quote compared to Dez Bryant's a few days back is astonishing.

Hell, one year on the NFL minimum would be enough money to get a young recent college grad off on the right foot.
(assuming of course, that it is not the practice squad wages)
