Can I just say: I don't get the whole wearing of sports jerseys thing. I mean I did when I was a kid, and if I was actually competing in a sport, but to wear one just to wear one, naw I don't get it at all.

To each their own......... I chew snuff and drink beer everyday. Some don't, I'm ok with that.

Some guys like to handle other men's balls and bang farm animals...

But that stuff is reserved for Oklahoma State and Texas aTm. But to each their own

Some guys like to drink pisswater as opposed to real beer.

But to each their own.

I wore them all the time when I was young, and felt really cool. It feels kinda weird now, though.

Scott D

Honestly, at a point it's best to get away from jerseys with names on them. Avoid numbers if you can, but if you can't avoid a number, avoid a name.

Kids, get em with names and numbers.

I wear them to OU games or on the beach when I want a really big loose fitting jersey. I don't pay enough attention to whose jersey I'm wearing. Tommie Harris's sister came up to me in that Sugar Bowl and told me that I was wearing her brother's jersey. I had no idea before. I just liked the crimson color and the Sooners on the front of it.

I have a chickie jersey. It's so full of glitter that any chair I sit on while I wear it ends of glitterized.

It's cute that they cater to female fans and all, but holy shizzle there's a lot of glitter and Easter egg colored jerseys out there.

I still have a Josh Heupel jersey...

It's kind of like wearing a letter jacket past the age of about 20 (and that's pushing it).
still, they're comfortable as hell. Maybe someone in the clothing business can make non-numbered, non-named jerseys for comfort wear.

And, for reference, wearing your old judo/karate 'gi' is also out except at cook outs when a swimming pool is situated within 50 yards and you have personally been swimming.

These are real rules.

JLEW1818

I know some bikers who would disagree with you.

I mean what gives anybody the right to say what is and isn't acceptable to wear?

Like i said, I'll wear my hockey jerseys when i want and i don't care what anyone thinks.

Get over yourselfs people.

I'm sure there is a biker group somewhere that wears letter jackets. A weird biker group, to be sure. Maybe in Korea.

Oh, and Crimson: THIS IS FOR FUN. I don't really, truly, believe that there is a committee making up such rules. Seriously.

Although, if I'm wrong, and there is such a committee, then I definitely want to be its chairman. I'm thinking every Tuesday the entire male population should wear clown noses. And girls? Get used to spandex.

Pro tip: Jerseys are for kids, college kids and recent graduate kids (like me!) When you are ready to grow up, you will switch to a coach's sideline polo. If you don't wanna grow up, you'll keep wearing that No. 14 jersey till the numbers start peeling off from the washing machine.

:D There's nothing wrong with not growing up.

I'm thinking mid-'50's greased up pompadour haircuts, as well. Maybe packs of ciggies rolled in the sleeves of white t-shirts.
