The last day of the Texas Relays is today, it is a complete mess around I-35 and the campus during that and would just be compounded if they had the scrimmage today. The track/soccer stadium sits between DKR and I-35.

TWC is the cable company down here, they have their own channel on the Austin TWC service. We don't have TWC for TV, only for internet.

I heard from those who watched it that QB Gilbert looked really good. Also, UT has apparently changed their offensive schemes in that he's not in the shotgun. All snaps from under center, and they ran pro/power formations.

That seems like a big change from previous offensive schemes, if true.

That has been a big issue about this spring down here, in fact some stated that they made a mistake in some ways keeping the Zone Read/Vince Young offense in place with Colt McCoy, they should have moved more to a pro style offense but since they were pretty successful with it they didn't change. When the change to Gilbert (whose father was a NFL QB) occurred the need to move away from the Zone Read was even more pronounced. The lack of a running game other than McCoy was a big factor in that according to some, there was no way Gilbert was going to run the Zone Read as effectively, he is a prototypical passer and came from a passing offense at Lake Travis H.S., pretty good athlete but nowhere near the runner that Young and McCoy were.
