Just my opinion mind you, but he seems too focused on stuff that is of little or no consequence in the larger scheme of things. Meanwhile, Rome burns.

I'm a big fan of Randy Brogdon. He reminds me a lot of Debra Medina.

He's of the libertarian wing of the GOP rather than the business/country club wing.

The man is a complete and total kook, further he is from Owasso. I rest my case.

I would disagree. As would many people from Owasso, the place he represents.

He is more into trying to insert christianity into schools than he is into actually doing something for our state.

When I was deciding who to support for Governor, I went to the four candidates' websites to see their positions on issue. My take on Brogdon is that he has no real position other than "do the opposite of whatever the Democrats want." This goes back to Sicem's theory that conservatives have no platform anymore other than <>democrat. this was a turnoff to
me, I'd rather see a candidate look at each issue on it's merits. However, doing exactly the opposite of Democrats would be a popular view here. Check out his (& the other 3) websites to see what you think.

I also think he looks sneaky. :D

Does this mean we limit our candidates to graduates of the Kennedy School of Government? At least Randy is qualified to fix something once it's broken.

You can vote for the candidate I'm backing. Jeri Askins.

She's a nice lady, was a good district court judge, and is not interested in what you do with your significant other in the privacy of your home or the number of firearms you own. She is also not opposed to Okie grocery stores selling wine. She also happens to agree with me that the entire Bill of Rights is pretty danged important. Not just the Second and Tenth Amendments.

If for no other reason, support Jari because Edmondson is a grand-standing schmuck who wants to be governor because his daddy was and Fallin is, well, Fallin, and clueless.

And the fact that single-party rule is scary. And dangerous.

No, he voted against good beer being sold in Tulsa and OKC only.

Considering he represents Owasso and not Tulsa or OKC, he was looking out for his hometown not being left out.

Considering he represents Owasso and not Tulsa or OKC, he was looking out for his hometown not being left out.

Considering he is running for governor, and many people in Tulsa and OKC (like me) would like to buy good beer cold, and without the liquor store markup, it still is enough for me to cross him off my list. Plus, this was just to get the bill out of committee. He could have offered an amendment to apply the law to the whole state, or to allow liquor stores to sell cold. To my knowledge, he did not.

We have a democrat gov, why hasn't he done anything about it??

At the end of the day i'm just not sure handing wal-mart a new revenue source while destroying a bunch of locally owned businesses is on the top of his agenda.

I know its not at the top of many peoples agenda. But its at the top of mine. And thats a rather interesting way of saying he's for protecting a rather large market inefficiency because it benefits a few local businessmen (to the detriment of local consumers).

The way our state handles its liquor sales is probably about 30 - 40 years out of date. It's a beautiful combination of blue laws and good ol' boy kickbacks.

I guess you're all for free markets, unless of course the free markets in question offend your tender suburban sensibilities.

thats a rather interesting way of saying he's for protecting a rather large market inefficiency because it benefits a few local businessmen (to the detriment of local consumers).Well according to him, the bill would have hurt both the local consumers and independent liquor store owners. Obviously this was a bad bill to begin with, and all the folks, dem and rep who voted against it say the same thing.

You're right Tuba. I'd sure hate for consumers to be able to buy a good at a cheaper price because of more open competition.

Man, some of the stuff you say is questionable as to opinion, but I didn't know you just blindly swallowed everything they spoonfeed you.

Which consumers are you talking about? The ones who happen to be in the "allowed" districts or the ones who aren't?

1. The author of the bill was open to amendment for the entire state to be included.

2. I'm libertarian. I believe in competition.

3. I think Walmart is amazing.

4. I thought sheeple neocons were all for hands-off government, less regulation, and competitive capitalism?
