wow u ****ing slut *** reporter. bringing up Big Ben's **** after talking about her.

**** **********s

I agree, but Carlee's been nice about it and has given good answers regarding that situation. She's certainly had more poise than most of us if it were our brother or sister.

baj's halftime report:
We are up by 4. I nearly wrote "down by 4," not only cuz it's been one of those days, but also because we are really playing like we're behind, it seems... sans pressure defense.

The refs for awhile seemed out to get Notre Damn (yay!) but since then, have called just as many on us and ignored Notre Damn's many travels (boo!). I never thought I'd want to see "travel" called again so much after that last sh!tty game.

A few real DAMN! moments in the first half. If you're not tuned into ESPN2, you're missing out on what looks to be the next chapter in our eternal revenge seeking against the Domers for our streak ending at 47.

(I didn't realize till now that DAMN is allowed by our language filter. I may have to insert it into my regular vocabulary here)

Like the announcers were just saying, Ny hesitated last time against the Domers in the tourney. Not this time! pleaesssssseeee let that be the game winner.

OU women to the Elite 8, I am in awe of Sherri as I thought we would barely make the tourney this year. BTW, we can beat both of the teams (kentucky and Nebraska) on our side of the bracket

Man, who would have thought that we'd be in the Elite 8 after losing Courtney and Ashley after last year and Whitney at the beginning of this year?

I had to leave with ny going to the line in OT. I guess they won? Guess I missed a heck of an ending

Ending:

Announcer: Ny said a few years ago after the loss to Notre Dame that she didn't want to be the hero, she didn't want to take the shot.

(Ny hits a 3 with 4 seconds left)

Announcer: omg! omg! omg!

(Notre Dame attempts to Christian Laettner the ball across the court, but it lands squarely in Ny's hands. She is immediately fouled)

Announcer: omg! omg! omg!

(Ny hits both free throws to put OU up by 5)

Announcer: And now, to pay tribute to the Notre Dame seniors, who have absolutely no chance of winning at this point... OK. that was depressing. and now, for a shot of the happy OU bench!

(game ends, ESPN makes a beeline for Sherri who is tearing up like always)

Sherri: I am sooo excited and happy like I am after every win. Did I mention I'm proud of these girls. Smiley faces all around!

(cut to the OU team, who just finished a postgame prayer led by Whitney Hand, now doing the OU chant)

OU team (shouting, not singing): NEATH A WESTERN SKY OU's CHANT WILL NEVER DIE! LIVE ON UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!!!

As much as the men's team imploded and failed to live up to expectations this season, the women are nothing short of astonishing. We started out short-handed and only got short-handier after Whitney's ACL tear. Making the tourney as a high seed was accomplishment enough, but now we're playing way above our seed. Everything from here on out is straight gravy.

This.

So much hardship for OU's teams this year. It's wonderful to see Coale come up so big in the face of it. As she said after the game, it's amazing how much Ny has matured (same with Abi, of course).

From here on out, everything really is gravy (in fact, this game was already gravy, IMO). I'm enjoying every second of these games.

Also a nice no call on the 3 by NS; the golden gomer hit her hand after the shot was released so it should have been a 4 point play

Either team will be tough to beat. I don't think Nebraska toyed with us in Norman; I think it was more like we couldn't hit shots when we needed to and the Huskers were calm under pressure and didn't panic. We kept it close until late in the game.

Watching Kentucky tonight for the first time, and they are athletic and shoot well from outside. Either way, we're going to need big games out of the seniors and few turnovers.

I'm sure they've sung it before, but this was the first time on a television broadcast that I've seen them participate this actively in the OU Chant. Usually, they just stand there giggling with one finger in the air, which is cool too. Tonight, however, you could distinctly hear the entire team shouting the last lines of the OU Chant on national television :)

Well boys and girls, looks like we're facing the mighty S-E-C! S-E-C! and Kentucky. Nebbish is down 12 with about four left in the second half. I am not sure how I'm gonna preview them - they are unranked and haven't played any Big 12 opponents this season.

(speaking of Big 12, if Nebbish goes down, it's just us any Baylor left, since Nebbish would be out if UK wins and Iowa State looked like sh!t against UConn)

Nebbish apparently wasn't built for the long haul, but wow, what an amazing run they had this year up until the end. It's happened to us before (see CP3's first three tourneys) so can't say too much.

EDIT: Officially over. Kentucky won by 9. I am really, really looking forward to Tuesday.
