actually I rarely watch TV news at all, I used to watch Fox news all the time, I watched the vote tonight on CNN. It is all retarded for the most part but even when I do watch I have this rare ability to think for myself so I like what I like and dislike what I dislike without the help of some tv news show

i agree. it really isnt news anymore. its entertainment. there are some journalists in this city that still hold to thier professional ethics and try to inform the public of whats going on without catering to the whims of their advertisers.

thats why ive gone back to school at age 37 to get the hell out of the news biz. its more entertainment than news and most of the time has a particular slant to it that makes it all more opinion than fact. but fact doesnt get ratings, and no ratings means no money coming in, and it is a business after all.

Well, a third party candidate can get on the ballot simply by paying the filing fee. The problem is that Oklahoma doesn't recognize 3rd parties so while the individual can get on the ballot their third party isn't recognized. Every third party candidate is simply listed as an independent, but you don't know if that's a true independent, libertarian, green party, etc.

Oklahoma's ballot access laws are draconian.

Actually, you can blame the Democrats. They're the ones that controlled the state from top to bottom when the ballot access laws were created. It was mostly about keeping Democrats in power.

It always brings a smile to my face. I love that the OK GOP is closer to what I consider legitimate conservatism than the Texas GOP. The Texas GOP is full of business/country club types and fairly moderate.

That's why I enjoyed hanging with the John Birch crowd in Texas.
