What is everyone's connection to OU? Did you go to school at OU? Just like football? Live in Norman?

Just curious to how everyone wound up connected to OU.

I've been going to football and basketball games for most of my life, decided to go to school here and graduated last May.

Attended back in 1994-1996. Due to a general lack of direction, I went off to pee on as many different parts of the country as possible. Landed back here to raise a family.

Graduated in '09 after 6 years of undergrad. Now in grad school.

FYI: Pick a good major early. Don't change to something completely different halfway through.

Oh, and lifelong fan.

Life long fan, undergrad degree from OU, and went to OU Law School for a while before excessive partying made me rethink a career in law! :D

Uncle Dick Favor started on OU football team in '36-38. Dad graduated in '46, I believe, after returning from phillipines in WWII. I went to OU '63-67, and graduated in Pol Sci. Have been a lifelong fan. Saw several games as a kid during the 47 game winstreak...Today is America's Trasformation. I'm gonna miss the old country.

My uncle is a doctor at Norman Regional and has had season tickets for nearly 50 years. I have been indoctrinated in all that is OU and raised a Sooner fan. Never went to school there, would loved to have, but it was not in the cards.

On the way back from Texas during a trip to my family in Irving as a child, I took a **** just before crossing into Oklahoma, once across the border Barry Switzer stood there in the flowing white robes(striking I might add)and blessed me with the holy water from the duck pond.

He said he probably would not have done that had I not sharted and it sounded like Royal coming out. :D

Life long fan since birth, born in it, raised in it, love it.
Sis was born in Waco when dad was stationed at Fort Hood, and of course she claims to be a native Texan but I love her anyway. ;)

Born and raised in Norman, attended OU 72-75 Undergrad in 75. Lived about 3/4 of a mile from Owen field during that time. Attended or worked at OU games from 65 through 07. Grandfather worked at OU for 48 years and worked in the pressbox every year during that time and my father worked in in the pressbox as a statistician from about 70 through 97 with Mike Treps and company. Went to highschool with Blevins, John Carrol, Joe Simpson, Bob Barry Jr., Frank Barry and Chuck Fairbanks Jr. to name a few. Was friends with Leroy Selman and many other players throughout the years. It's in my blood...Sooner Born and Sooner Bred.

2 uncles and 2 cousins graduated from OU. Did a lot of partying in Norman with the cousins in the early 80's. As far as sports go, I've been to about 30 home fball games, 4 Red River War games and have seen them play at USC in 73? and one game in Syracuse in the 90's. Several home hoops games and a few baseball games in Norman.

Came to OU because the Director of the School of Meteorolgy sent me a letter stating they wanted me at OU. Lived in GA at the time and never thought of OU prior. Ended up with 3 degrees from OU.

BS in Meteorology - 1982
MS in Industrial Engineering - 1987
Ph.D in Industrial Engineering - 1997

EDIT: I guess this makes me a real and legit fan according to the aggots.

My mom was a student at OU when I was little and we lived about a half mile from campus...on Saturdays I used to hear the crowd and the band and stuff and fell in love with it. My uncles took me to my first game when I was 13 and I was hooked. I went to school there one semester but I studied boys and beer more than anything else, so I ended up getting my degree at UCO.

Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather all went to OU. Grandfather did not graduate due to joining the Army and being in the North Africa campaign of WWII.

Grandmother attended OU in the 30's and 40's.

I attend OU and I am currently a senior. I've missed a total of 3 home games in the last 18 years. A KU home game when I couldn't get off work in high school, THE mizzou game of the century, when game day was in town and also during homecoming, I had a wedding that I couldn't skip. And the Nebraska home game last year because I had a little too much on Lindsey in the 6 hours leading up to the game, no excuse there, I was a bad sooner that day.

I attend basketball games and baseball games when I can make it.

And for the record, who the f*** sets their wedding during football season, especially on a home game? Oh wait I know, a stupid aggie.

If it was in Meteorology, then that isn't a bad thing...One of the toughest majors and programs in the country.
