How many teams have beaten OU and Texas in the same season? Huskers? KSU?

I was thinking Huskers in the 90s, but I don't think they beat Texas during that time. I think KSU has the best chance of making the claim. Did they beat Texas the year we played them for the Big XII title and lost?

Maybe Tech or A&M put it on UT when we sucked with Blake.

Didn't tceh suck and A&M kinda suck during the Blake era?

A&M did it in '97, & won the south that year. They went on to get blown out by NU in the CCG, who shared the NC w/ Michigan.

They had a down year in '96 where they went .500, but they were consistently a very good team throughout the '90's (until they began their current slide in '99). They even went undefeated in '92 until Notre Dame beat them in the Cotton Bowl. The mid-80's through the '90's were pretty much their heyday.

Aggies, 1997

likely Arkansas 1977

UT beat the 'hogs in '77. That's why they were in the Orange Bowl & not the Cotton (SWC's auto tie-in)

Wouldn't it be wild if A&M was the only team that could make the claim?

yeah, i just looked it up

it's not that strange because OU and Texas have only been in the same same conference since '96

I'd imagine A&M did it in 1994 as well. The year they smoked us in CS.

O-State smoked them too. Tony Lindsay went nuts. They beat Colorado, I think, the next week and made it all the way into the top 15 of the polls.

But then Aggie showed up and they lost at home to Corby Jones and Missouri.

Which Aggie? A&M or their old selves?

Any time O-State is on the cusp of "making it" in football Aggie ALWAYS shows up. This applies to the '83 and '88 games against us. That one game where Bob Simmons ran his son up the gut against Nebraska. That Missouri game I referenced above.

Turning it over 87 times in last year's Cotton Bowl......

That '83 squib kick that careened off an aggie's helmet was God's way of reminding aggies that he shared no affection for them and they were unwittingly bound for hell.
