Tom Coburn. One of the almost extinct members of Congress actually doing his job.

Awesome, good for Dr. Tom.

Amazing how corrupt this administration & congress is.

I really don't see how any of you can ever take any of them seriously.

He gets his *** in line for handouts from these bills just like the rest of them, whether they publicly oppose something or not.

Our reps will keep bringing home the bacon until we force them to stop. Everybody wants a free meal. WE have to grow up.

Too be clear, your usual piling on for free stuff is different than buying votes for a sh!t bill.
Remember school house rock?
That dude named bill must be PISSED!

Not Coburn.

all of them NP. That's why so much **** gets tacked onto bills, everyone taking their pound of flesh to go back at election time and say "see what i was able to do for you."

Except Coburn's well known as the guy that refuses to do it. It's practically all he's there for. I'd agree with everyone else, but not him. He's been way too vocal against it ALL.

Damn....why do they continue to try to scare everyone? I mean...they got their *** handed to them trying that with McCain. Are they freaking blind?

I bet that backfires.

except his *** has been up near the front of the line more than once in this current administration on a bill that he very vocally opposed to get his cut of the money.

I love Coburn! Put it out there and vote - consequences if you vote with a deal. You go Tom!!!

I have no problem people working to get money after the deal passed with their No vote. If it gonna pass might as well try to protect your state/district. What counts is the vote. If this passes, this country will dissamble eventually.

Why in the hell is the nationalization of student loans part of this bill???

Because it never ****ing ends. NEVER. Far too many in our gov believe you are born into your station in life, and its up to them, thrub their benevolence to make it less miserable. Where as those who built this nation, protected it, and turned into THE world power, believe your destiny is your own and your rights come from God and are not granted to you by the behest of your federal government.

You obviously know nothing about Coburn.

I know he's had his hand out at the front of the line on a bill he very vocally opposed, so I apparently know more than I needed to.

If the bill passes even though he was against it, he is supposed to say "no thanks" to any funding for his district?

Scott D
3/19/2010, 01:16 PM
That depends on whether or not his moral ground is solid or if it's fluid like it is for so many in politics.

It's tantamount to giving out trophies for 37th place in a 37 person field in a race.
