According to Hale it is 50/50 if TMG comes back. Probably means it's actually 90/10 he'll be here because of how unreliable Hale is.

yeah, big whoop if he leaves. if he doesn't wanna play for capel and OU then adios.

that's how I feel about any of em. I dont' care how good they are.

Capel needs to do a little better job getting to know his recruits though before he offers them. He was pretty much an 0 fer on last years recruits.

i hope he stays & i hope he wants to play for capel. TMG is gonna turn into a great point guard. all the improvement he made this year. teach him some defense & hes pretty solid!

If he leaves, it'll be for the NBA. There's a lot more to this story than meets the eye. Suffice it to say, it's probably more a 60/40 chance he'll leave but it's not a Capel issue.

It's not official yet. But it is pretty reliable.

oumartin

well if it's true then adios amigo.

I'm tellin' ya I am starting to worry a bit about our coach a little. I hope Joe C. understands Capel is still young and hasn't learned all he has to learn and I hope Capel has learned that he might wanna invest a little more time and get to understand the Character of future recruits a tad better

if this is true, then next season is probably going to be just as ****ty as this one..."hopefully" just from a lack of talent and depth, and not maturity/commitment issues.

ndpruitt03
3/20/2010, 04:11 PM
There's no link. I'm not giving away who has said this. But it's reliable. TMG thinks he's too good for the college game. He cleared out his locker and left for Houston.

oumartin
3/20/2010, 04:35 PM
maybe he went to go get his defense.

I really thought Capel was the right guy for OU. He was upbeat, fired up for games and seemed to be good at motivating his teams to get excited to play.

This past year, it almost seems like it was the Griffin boys more than anyone else that was responsible for OU's success.

It makes me love Blake and Taylor more (not to mention Ma and Pa Griffin, who made me smile every time they cut away to them in the crowd), but like Capel less.

It there were any players we needed to hold onto for next season, it was Cade and TMG.

This next season will be Capel's fifth year. The results this coming season, I think, will largely dictate whether or not Capel stays for the sixth.

their hoops program is in serious trouble. first, they've got the ncaa to deal with because the news that Gallon was getting money from somewhere is not exactly "new". its been floating around out there for a while.

so, Warren, Gallon and TMG are going to transfer, plus Crocker is graduating, they have limited new talent coming aboard.

they will be ****astic next season. ha ha ha ha. looking forward to the extension of BU's win streak over OU in men's hoops.

See...that's two sports outside of football that we're still good at...wrestling and baseball. And one of them is a legitimate "Big Three" sport (and the other one, baseball, is catching on in the US as well, so there's always hope for that little sport). :)

Looks as though it may be official. What really gets to me is how these kids blow off their priviledges of getting a great education. He left OU not even mid way thru the semester. Lord i hope Ray McCallum commits to us or we are screwed with no scholarship PG

He had a dream team with the Griffin brothers.....now he's paying his dues. He's young, he's learning, dont' write him off. If he leaves, he'll figure it out and be winning somewhere else. I have to think he learned a hard lesson this year about chemistry.

Also, guys, keep in mind that it was just a source cited, not TMG himself. Perhaps he hasn't made his decision yet and just needed some time over Spring Break to think it over. A lot has happened this past season, a lot of unexpected losing and attitude issues and early offseason-ness.

Collier11
3/23/2010, 03:20 PM
According to Draft Express and TMGs mom he has not made a final decision yet but he does want to test the draft waters before he decides

the_ouskull
3/23/2010, 03:25 PM
Let me help him out with that... an undersized point guard with a limited outside shot against larger opponents who hasn't shown the ability to properly run an offense without a multitude of both turnovers and bad attitudes...

Reality: Undrafted.
NBA Reality: Ha! He's a lottery lock. Just like "Tiny."

whos gonna draft him? just curious? he needs SO much more experience & needs to learn something called DEFENSE!

What exactly makes people say TMG has a bad attitude? What else is there other than showing up to practice late over break, and him wanting to leave? I'd probably want to leave too if I were on a 13-18 team. I don't know if this justifies him having a bad attitude, but feel free to enlighten me.

Collier11
3/23/2010, 03:47 PM
Id say if the only reason you want to leave is cus you had a losing season that lends to having a bad attitude, its about the team not yourself and he was a part of that 13-18 season even if he played pretty well at times

Watch the last like minute and a half of the Colorado game. He got pretty pissy there. And it didn't just look like frustration about losing.

I'm not saying that's the only reason he wanted to leave. I'm just saying that it would be frustrating be on a team like this.
