I think ive decided on West Virginia, I like their hard style of play and I really enjoy watching DeSean Butler play ball.

Im also a fan of Coach K but im sure Duke will be out in the 2nd or 3rd rd like always here lately.

Also, im picking Richmond as my Cindarella team, that team can play ball

Duke will probably be my team for the tournament. Purdue would've probably been had Hummel not gotten hurt.

Outside of rooting for all Big 12 teams to get slaughtered, I'll root for upsets.

Baylor Bears - arguably the best college basketball team in the state of Texas. I want them to get a good seeding and win at least a couple games.

I don't understand how anyone can root for a Big 12 team. It hurts OU if Big 12 teams do well.

big 12 teams doing well isnt as big of a deal in hoops as it is in football

I don't understand why. I always hope Big 12 teams lose and lose big. The Big 12 doing well may be why we lack a little talent right now.

I might be stupid but I kind of like Calipari, and I think Kentucky has the best chance of beating KU, who I can't stand, living here in KC really has fueled my hatred for the hawks, so anyone winning beside them, texas, and oklahoma st. is fine with me.

What? If the Big12 teams do well, that means higher seeds in future NCAA tourneys. What is not to like?

Since we're not participating, I'm hoping for a crazy tournament with lots of upsets and wild finishes. Hopefully a small school from the middle of nowhere wins the whole thing.

UNM Lobos.

But, this season for the OU men was such an epic disaster that I may not watch very many games. The '09-10 Sooners just ruined my enjoyment of the men's game in general. And I've been one of the biggest "sunshine pumpers" that's ever been for the OU men (since the mid-70's, no less).

- Baylor (come on, they've been awful for so long, you have to like em. It's like Duke football.)

- West Virginia (I like Bob Huggins, and a good friend's wife went there.)

I'll be pulling for my other college hoops team Louisville. Have always been a fan of Pitino and his teams in your face defense.

I agree a little bit, but I hate KSU more than KU. The KU arrogance up here is pretty strong, but it's nothing like what I had to deal with in Wichita with KSU fans. I also dislike Bill Self something fierce, even though he's a darn good coach. That said, my grandpa is a huge KU fan and he's not going to be around much longer...so I kinda hope they win. But in all reality, I couldn't care less who wins this tourney.

Wow, I can't believe KSU fans being worse than KU fans, but I'll believe you. I'm also starting to not like Bill Self more and more, and I'm the same way with my grandpa, he's a huge Missouri guy, so I always feel kind of bad the Sooners beating them - and he doesn't have much time left either, man i was hoping they would beat uconn last year just for him.

And for Damion James to shoot 0 for 11 in his final game at Texas and foul out. Ironic that Rick Barnes called him the most loyal player he's ever coached at Texas.

I am for Kansas. Got to talk to Self when he was the TU coach every once in a while. Never ever gave off the "I'm too good to talk to you vibe." Always asked how our team was doing. Told some stories that made me dislike E. Sutton even more. Plus my mom is from Kansas.

ndpruitt03
3/17/2010, 12:50 PM
There's not a good reason to root for conference teams in any situation. These are teams you are recruiting and competing against every year. It's not good for OU if these teams win.

That's stupid. We have recruits from all over the country in both major sports. There is only one Oklahoma and the state of other programs has nothing to do with our recruiting.
There is a good reason to root for other teams. I know players and coaches for Kansas. I'll root for them

ndpruitt03
3/17/2010, 05:24 PM
Okay even if you don't care for recruiting reasons. I still don't get rooting for guys we play against every year. It's like rooting for Texas to win national titles. It's stupid.

Collier11
3/18/2010, 12:29 AM
we play several teams every yr, cbball is diff than cfball, again!

starrca23
3/18/2010, 10:06 AM
That's still dumb logic. According to your way of thinking, we should want Texas and OSU to lose every game they play. Not me. I want them to win every game they play except one. I want to play the best and beat the best. I would rather lose to the best then beat a JV squad every time out.

Nik, seriously, go stick your ****ing head in a microwave and push "high."

NOTHING is like rooting for Texas. If Nebraska or TT or KU was in a NC football game playing some SEC or PAC 10 team you're telling me you'd pull for the SEC or PAC 10? That's moronic. But I do not expect anything other than that from you.

I pull for Texas to lose at everything at all times. Never an exception. However, I'll root for the other Big-12 teams as long as they're not playing OU every damn time. It does not hurt OU if the Big-12 is strong. To think it does is dumb.
