I just saw a Subaru Outback commercial with a marching band in it. The music was kind of chopped up by the other audio, but I could swear they were playing Boomer Sooner. Anybody else notice this?

I saw that mentioned in a news article profiling companies that specifically targeted gays in their marketing campaigns (successfully, that is). After seeing that and confirming it with a bit of googling, I had to give my buddy tons of grief over his newly purchased Forester. I mean, what are friends for? :)

Mr. SS used to have a little Subaru POS that he drove back and forth to work for the great gas mileage. That thing had over 300k miles on it and in 3 years, it ran like a top, no trouble at all. I'm not even sure he changed the oil on any kind of a regular basis. They are apparently fairly indestructible.

btw, speaking of non-OU "boomer sooner" references, last night's Simpson's episode making fun of UFC had Marge training to participate in a fight with the UFC-like thing's owner to bring an end to the violence.
