Good to hear he's not doing the tour dead.

That would have been funnier if I'd said "alive". Not much, but a little. :D

What can I say? I'm off my game a bit today since I've been awake since yesterday morning.

Dallas and Austin shows sold out immediately. Heard he's doing the shows for free and giving all the proceeds to his former staff.

It's kind of a cluster how they announced the shows & started the on-sales at the same time. I'm just lucky someone texted me when they were announced so I could still grab quasi-decent seats.

apparently its $250 a friggin ticket

Most venues started out at $35/ticket for the cheap seats, with the bulk of the floor priced at $55 & $75. Then there's package deals that start at $250 and go all the way up to $600+. The $600 package includes a meet-and-greet with Coco, free food & drinks before the show, good parking, free merch, etc and what have you.

it might have been cool, but i don't care enough to pay that much...

i'm much more excited about Dead Weather at Cain's the Thursday before NMF

Went to his show last night in Dallas and definitely enjoyed all of it. It featured him doing standup, some bits that he pre-recorded, some back and forth with Andy Richter, a fair amount of music numbers, some favorite bit from his TV Show, and a few guest comedians/musicians. Definitely give it 2 thumbs up for those going to see him in Tulsa.

Amazingly, the Tulsa stop didn't sell out quickly. As popular as Conan is/was/???, it's hard to sell a $695 ticket package, even if it include meet and greet and pre-show cocktail party, heh. However, I think that even those seats are gone now too since it officially "sold out."

I wonder if Conan could have sold out the BOK Center?

I don't smoke weed anymore. I just think if I want to I should be able to without big fines, jail time, and whatever stupidity the government is peddling that day.

C&CDean

Grooooovy.

Crucifax Autumn

**** it though. Alcohol gets me WAY more screwed up.

Collier11
5/14/2010, 01:49 PM
Alcohol was illegal once as well, just cus something is illegal doesnt always mean it should be. I smoked every once in a while in college and I can tell you with complete honesty that alcohol had far worse of an effect on my actions than pot ever did

Look at this. We've jacked bri's conan-love thread into another legalize weed thread. Heh.

I once put my P in Conan's A.

I didn't call it any cute euphemisms though and the Canturbury Tales were nowhere in sight.

Actually, I'd think most potheads would favor Leno, as his bland, unoriginal comedy-flavored television gruel wouldn't challenge their scant functioning brain cells as much as Conan. :D

Crucifax Autumn
5/14/2010, 03:29 PM
Leno couldn't make me laugh long enough to take the joint out of my mouth. Conan's humor is WAY more pot-friendly.

C&CDean
5/14/2010, 03:36 PM
Heh. Somebody making stupid faces closeup to the camera freaked me out when I was a stoner. Hell, Conan's hair would have freaked me the **** out.

Collier11

the only thing funny about Leno these days is the revelation that he isnt the nice guy everyone made him out to be, rather he is a back stabbing, bumbling idiot who has lot a ton of respect nationally

C&CDean
5/14/2010, 03:37 PM
Yeah, I bet that's killing him while he's cashing his checks.

Collier11
5/14/2010, 03:57 PM
more than you probably realize although it has become quite clear that he only cares about the cash

As opposed to during the Letterman-Leno fight before Dave split to CBS when Leno was a back stabbing, bumbling eavesdropping spy.

:D

bri

Yeah, but everyone forgot about that because people are incredibly stupid. Just wave something shiny out of the corner of their eye and they'll forget about whatever it was they were doing.
