This healthcare bill is a complete and total fiasco. I remember listening on the radio one morning as I was driving to work back in early December about how the D's were working feverishly at finishing it up before the Christmas break. It's now March 8th and a bill that was supposed to be the hallmark of BHO's first year in office now seems to be on the verge of destroying this presidency.

At this point the House doesn't have the votes to pass the current bill (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/27468ee4-2a28-11df-b940-00144feabdc0.html) and Obama, ever the campaigner, is set to go back out on the road to try and garner support for a bill that the public doesn't seem to want (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601070&sid=aTqn2mS8JVDU).

I'll give the R's credit for playing good defense on this bill, but ultimately the bill will fail because the D's are so scared of the reaction and backlash they'll face from their constituency that they're not willing to put their necks on the line and vote for this thing.

The November elections loom on the horizon and the populace is angry. The Democrats seem to retreating and are now bogged down by infighting. Instead of jobs, jobs, jobs, Obama can't let go of this quixotic quest he believes he can still sell the American people on.

People need to use the word "quixotic" more. Fantastic word.

And if this thing passes, there will be a lot of fresh faces next year.

And the great thing about it is that Dear Leader and the rest of the dims are too ****ing stupid to just drop it.

Or the rest of his socialist agenda.

November can't come soon enough.

The scary part is that nobody even knows what the hell is in this bill. Didn't this thing start out around 600 pages and now it's over 2,000 pages? Who knows what kind of trojan horses are stuck into this bill.

Totally agree, though it pisses me off that we have bastardized it by pronouncing it "quicks-otic" instead of paying homage to its namesake by using the proper pronunciation of "Kee-ho-tic".

It's really fascinating to listen to hard core libs talk about this thing. I've taken to forcing myself to watch Bill Maher lately as a sort of daily workout session of keeping my cool despite listening to stuff I completely disagree with told to me in an insanely infuriatingly smug and pompous fashion. It's really good training for what you sometimes face in a courtroom. Anyway, these people honestly believe that they know whats best for you and that all of us regular Americans are just too foolish or dense to know what's right.

Bill literally said just that, only without the foolish and dense part, he said that people aren't actually against healthcare, its just that they dont understand that the gov knows whats best for them.

I continue to say that if these people had any work ethic, morals, scruples, intelligence, and loyalty they wouldn't have careers in Washington DC or politics.

At this point they just want to win, public be damned. I don't even think they care if the plan is any good. They just want to pass it so they can say they did.

Yeah...fresh faces rule.

I'm for putting all democrats and republicans in steel cage internment camps and having them fight it out thunderdome style. Meanwhile us independents can save the country from the mess the rest of you got us into in the first place.

LAS since you've decided to wade into my thread, I'll go ahead and tell you that I think you're the worst kind of two faced troll and that you should just come clean and drop your schtick. Any sort of support for this plan has nothing to do with the conservative principles you claim to support. If you were truly a conservative you'd be touting the benefits of what Senator Coburn and others put forth many months ago. But as it is, you come off as a ****** in sheeps clothing.

actually you are dead wrong, I dont like this bill at all. I somewhere down the line could be convinced that this may be best for the country but not until they take the time to actually work up a coherent and workable bill, no one even knows whats in this thing so to pass it would just be irresponsible
