Just thought this was a good indication of how the continuity of greatness can continue. From Shipp to shore.

Interesting recruiting angle in terms of why he said he came to OU.

IIRC, there was a huge whorn uproar because JM put them on blast when it came to their recruiting techniques. And alot of that had to do with him and his mother choosing OU. His mother, from what i took from the story, seems to be a very religious woman.

I really liked what I saw from him. He's still really young, but even GK didn't play as a true freshman. I think the last that did was Tommie, though he had a major role and McFarland was a backup.

He's got some things to work on, but the sky is the limit for his upside. Ship thinks he can be a great one!

Very good stuff there. Like the reason why he chose OU - it reminds me of why basketball players choose to go to UConn even though there's that joke about Storrs, Connecticut (it's called "Storrs" because they just added a second one).

I also like what he said about Tech's big guys. :D Too bad we couldn't pull that one off, but I don't think too highly of Tubby and don't fear him like I do quirky Leach. Tubby is very conservative and will approach the game like that... and with Lubbock-level talent, that isn't too scary at all.

Part of the allure of college ball is that you have players for, at most 3-4 seasons (in which they play, I understand the math). So you've always got holes to fill.
I am vacillating between being really excited for the fall, or slightly worried.

I hate the off season.

Looking good on D this year. Need to re-evaluate the o-line... and quickly. Missing Williams badly on the blind-side.
