There is a place where the season ends
And before the summer begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the season ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the fans, they mark, and the fans, they know
The place where the season ends.

I am taking the Sooner's and 22 points.
I think Self will have some mercy on us.

He will want to keep down injuries for the battles ahead.

where has fitzgerald been this season? gosh, he looks like a seasoned vet out there on the offensive end...he had a great first half against kstate too.

Eielson
2/22/2010, 09:50 PM
Yeah, I'm really starting to believe he has a brighter future than Gallon.

Crocker attacks the scoring table!

Apparently he attacked Bob Barry!

Why does Henry have to be such a buzzkill?

Honestly, if the last minute or so of that half had gone better, I would feel really good about this first half. We're playing pretty well. We just aren't getting shots to drop. We're equal on the turnovers, and have more offensive rebounds. If it weren't for Xavier Henry, or if this were at home, we'd probably be winning this.

Fitzgerald is better than Aldrich! Well...maybe not, but I'm going to say it anyway.

Fitzgerald has been a HUGE bright spot. We really need to get him the ball more.

We are outscoring Kansas in the second half and have cut the lead to 14 with just under 4 to go.

Is TMG the same height as Collins?

yankee

great effort in the 2nd half (of course it helped that ku had checked out by then), but still was nice to see. TMG came on strong at the end, fitz had a great game. i thought gallon played really well on the defensive side of the ball keeping that giant bucktooth in check.

Is TMG the same height as Collins?

collins listed at 5'11 and TMG listed at 5'10 so basically yeah.

So that means they're both 5'8".

The thing that bugs me about College Bball and it bugged me last night was there were numerous times where kids weren't rewarded for playing good defense. I witnessed several times kids on either team standing with their arms straight up being called for a foul and even a couple of charges called blocks. It was seriously bad in the uconn game.

Thought the effort was there but to me what you saw was an OU team struggling in offensive sets while KU was always looking to make the extra pass often times the result was a wide open shot. Seemed every pass on the offensive end for OU was contested and there wasn't ever much flow.

I have never understood that either. A player jumps into a defender or the defender's arms and it is a call against the defender?

It's like TMG is begging for the pain to stop

Good to see Pledger find his shot a bit more. I think he was thrown in a bit too soon and will eventually be a great player for us.

I've been crying for Fitz to play more minutes since game one. Every time he's in, he creates offense and hustles. He hurt his case with the shoplifting crap, but hopefully he can get out of the doghouse by working hard and keeping his head down.

So I was lurking on OP and noticed that OSU will likely get embarrassed by the Rocky Chockies at home because a donor apparently bought all remaining 2500 tickets to GIA to sellout the game.
