Upon Further Review - Conference Realignment

I haven't seen this type slant on conference realignment, and thought I'd post a link that I ran across while everyone seems to be talking about this..

The only playoff/realignment ideas worth discussing are those offered by writers who have not injected vast quantities of hallucinogenic drugs.

Well, it would be interesting....in a parallel universe where personalities didn't matter, no one had vested interests and a rational God prevailed. But that's not here.

I did like the slam on the entire upper mid-West, however. 'Outlived its relevance'. Pretty much nailed it.

Truly, these notions of massive realignments with little or no regard for existing conference affiliations or traditional rivalries makes no sense.

But what this thought did put forward was to keep OU and Texas in the same division - which I kind of like.

Now, there are lots and lots of problems with this idea, but thought that it might be fun to explore a completely out of the box idea to see where the ideas might lead.
