already looking like an early 11A.M. game in Fair Park?

I'm sure ABC will pick up OUr game for 11am and the BSU-VT game for primetime. CBS will be at Alabama for sure. The question is where Gameday will be.

I know the last few years for sure, but I will try my best to remember the earlier games. Anyone feel free to correct me.
2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, and 2009 were all 11am.
2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007 were all 2:30pm.

Haha^^^^

Most likely 11am at the Cotton Bowl

I asked my father once why the game always has to be so early, he said that due to all the people getting drunk and the horrible neighborhood around the state fair....it just wouldn't be safe for everyone

What ever happened to the second saturday in october, last year was late this year will be early. I can't even set my calendar by the game anymore. This is crap!:P

heh, an OU/UT night game at the fair would be insane, too much of a head start and plenty of time to catch up.

They would need so many hi-po's and a paddy wagon.

wouldn't be a good environment for the children... haha

Without even putting my crimson shades on, OU/UT pwns those other two. Boise/VT? Pffft... you're kidding, right?

Bama/'Duh is a great potential matchup, but let's not go and call it in the same universe as the RRS.

Definitely the SEC. They were with us last year. No chance ESPN doesn't go to Bama-UF. Unless, of course, one of them falls apart.

Yeah, I wonder why it's early in Oct. this year? And it will never be a night game, there'd be dead bodies littering the parking lots.

IDK, the 11:00 a.m. has good and bad, I guess. I didn't like getting up and getting there so early, but it left a lot of time after the game to hang out at the fair, drown my sorrows, go out to dinner, and hit a couple bars before passing out, I mean, going to sleep.

230 is the best just cus I can recover a little longer

2009 this was the reason why

There are usually 12 Saturdays between Labor Day and Thanksgiving, but this year there are only 11; Labor Day is on 9/7 this year, the latest it can ever be. If we wanted to play all four nonconference games, our conference opener, and have a bye week, like we've done the last few years, the only way to do it would be to play on the 3rd weekend in October.

The last time the calendar fell like this was 1998; that year (and all the previous years that were the same way), we only played 11 regular season games so there was an extra bye week to play with.

I hear this, but it's not like there was ever dead bodies littering the place during any rival Dallas games there. Hell, it's worse I think the night before the game than moving it to Saturday night. Can't be any worse than your average LSU game or scrimmage.

The dead body thing has come close. One of these days I'll share a story about a few whorns, a motor home and a shotgun. And yes, it was a Sooner shotgun. :D

BSU v. VT moved to labor day, FWIW.

Bama might have a let down next year but they tend to play LSU better in Baton Rouge than in Tuscaloosa for some odd reason (26-8) (2-3 in the last five meetings. I think there are other games on their schedule that they are more at risk to lose (Fl, Penn State, at SC, at Ark).
