Legend. And class act.
I never knew that they didn't play any weather games during THE streak. A great break for a speed team.
Geesh, can you even imagine what it would be like to threaten that record? This board would be 8.1 on the richtor scale......

John Bell, who played with Harris and is the subject of a chapter in Dent's book "The Undefeated" about that 47 game win streak, tells a wonderful story about Jimmy Harris, who Bell apparently had the utmost respect & regard for. Tommy MacDonald liked only a few yards to surpass some kind of pass receiving record. Harris must've had an ornery streak and decided to give MacDonald a hard time, so he wouldn't call his number. Even when he did, he wouldn't throw it to him, even if he was open. MacDonald was exasperated as the game wore on, and Harris thought the whole thing funny. Finally, late in the fourth quarter, Wilkenson stepped in and urged Harris to make the play to MacDonald, which he did and Tommy got his record. Harris got the satisfaction of giving him a hard time, though.
