boo on the pinstripes. one sidenote is that the changes take this off the gas guzzler list, so it will be a grand cheaper than last year.

shelby gt350 (lets see 5.0 mustang + 25k and they keep the parts. ouch)

I need a new toy, Camaro or Mustang GT?

Had an 05 Mustang GT and loved it -- still hate myself sometime for trading it in.

Yeah, those narrow stripes are kinda meh.

I saw the new GT-350 on the cover of Motor Trend the other day. White with wide blue stripes. Looks great. Plus the 5.0 with 550 HP and 490 FPT and 6-speed looks pretty beastly. About $63K. Tempting...

1. shelby will have the car for 60 days so be prepared for that.
2. of all the optoins, i'd highly recommend going with the bigger brakes on the front of the car. these cars accelerate so fast that it takes some discipline to keep it under 90 on an onramp. you don't think you'll need those huge suckers, but trust me, the ability to stop on a dime is handy.

well at the GT/SS level, its more a preference ting.

the biggest issue with the camaro is the visibility. when i was getting in them, i didn't have blind spots, i had visible spots. however, the drop top looks amazing.

the mustang's biggest issue is the live axle instead of IRS. you sidestep the clutch and you are going to look like a kangaroo going down the road. it actually handles pretty well on windy roads though.

now, if you go above that level, your only choice is the mustang or the new 6.4L SRT8 Hemi Challenger. without a Z28, chevy just has nothing that compares to the GT500.

Can I get a Camero that runs on the carcasses of woodland creatures or the tears of small children?

There just isn't anything tempting about a $63,000 car unless it is a Sponsor Gift from Phil. :D

Dude, I've got an $80K tractor, and about $500K worth of other tractors and farm implements. Not to mention 4 trucks worth about $100K. What's $63K?

You may now call me Farmer Bruce.

I can't tell if you were saying no Z/28 or no Z/28 convertible (which is supposedly true). The Z/28 is rumored to get the Caddy CTS-V's supercharged (LS2, I think) engine good for 550hp or so.

Yeah, like my farmer father in law always says: "Fancy cars don't impress me, I have a $350,000 vehicle I use for three weeks out of the year, and then I go get a new one."

You aren't really a farmer if you don't have your pregnant wife pulling a plow.

I heard the Z28 was shelved for now, too. I also heard that about the convertible so that's encouraging.
