I used to like Roy, he has seemed to become a bit bitter and whiney the last few years, maybe im just noticing it. The comment in the article doesnt bother me but overall I think Roy is becoming a huge b*tch

I suppose if you've ignored Haiti it doesn't seem that bad, but I'm sure most of us have seen videos, pictures, etc. of what's happening over there.

In any event, I have no problem with Roy Williams failing miserably this season and losing to his big rival at home while his unranked team takes lousy shots and turns the ball over continuously. Why couldn't they do that in the Elite Eight last year?

Sounds like an attempt to deflect attention from the fact that his "Heels" are no 2-7 in conference play. Looks pretty bad over there.

Dude has 4 McDonalds All American's coming in next year. The Willie Warrens and the like need to stay 3 years and let a team build chemistry.

I have no issues with him being biatched slapped this year, but I am pretty sure he has cut down the nets twice now at UNC. He could kick every player off the team and rebuild by next year.

Roy's a great coach from a very humble backgroud. His record of consistently turning out high quality young men screams more about his life than that one statement says.
We've all said stupid stuff...no biggie.

I don't see what's wrong with his comment. People love getting their panties in a wad about anything they can.

I don't care for Roy Williams or UNC at all, and take great glee in their suckiness right now, that being said: yup, PC gone wrong.

Can't it be both?

I didn't read the article or click the link, but I will say this, he was great in college but lets be honest, he has issues in coverage and no longer brings teh wood like he used to.

Roy is unimpressive. His main assistant, Joe Holliday, craps out more basketball knowledge in one morning than Roy will accumulate over his whole lifespan. He's had enough talent at KU and UNC to win 10+ NCs.

Remember when his mass substitutions at KU used to kill their mojo?

Kelvin competed and sometimes beat KU with less talented teams routinely. Although, our 2002 team was loaded.

Millenium = FAIL
Holladay was a great high school coach and a good Sooner, but he is director of basketball operations and oversees academics. Not exactly where you put your best basketball mind.
